What are the Aesthetic Treatments or Aesthetics?

Aesthetic treatments or Aesthetics is a broad term for treatments focusing on improving cosmetic appearance, usually the skin, face and other parts of the body.

Aesthetic treatments deal with issues such as wrinkles, sagging, pigmentation, scaring, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, spider veins and many others.

Aesthetic treatments offered at aesthetic, laser and skincare clinics usually refer to non-surgical procedures (for example: botox, fillers, laser skin rejuvenation, skin tightening, chemical peels, microneedling etc).

While Aesthetic medicine includes both surgical procedures (liposuction, facelifts, breast implants, etc)

In the US there were nearly 15 million aesthetic treatments performed last year.
